I’m so excited to return to be the M.C. for the 8th Annual Charm City Strongwoman Contest! I had a great time doing it last year. Awesome ladies from all over the greater Baltimore area will compete in a variety of events, punctuated by smart-aleck comments from me. All profits from the event will go to benefit Ulman House, a home away from home for cancer patients and their families. I got to talk to some amazing people from the Ulman Foundation last year, and I can’t wait to share with people all the things they’ve accomplished since the last contest. It’s going to be a lot of fun!

I’m thrilled to be making my debut with Annapolis Shakespeare Company as part of their Cabaret Series! We’ll be singing tons of hits from the 50’s and 60’s. Some of my favorites from the program include “Rock Around the Clock”, “Stand By Me”, and “All I Have to Do Is Dream”.

I’ll perform the daunting bass solo in Bach’s renowned cantata.

I'll be in the chorus for Rossini's not-often-performed opera, conducted by the great Maestro Walker. WCO says "Zelmira is the last of Rossini's "Neapolitan Operas," a series of nine dramas that are largely considered to be some of his greatest works. This pioneering work marks the beginning of the composer's international career and lays the groundwork for early Italian Romantic opera. Embarking on a mission to save her father, King Polidoro, from a murderous usurper, our title character faces a series of aspersions directed against her and nearly loses her family and her life in the process. Lawrence Brownlee, one of the world's leading bel canto tenors, returns to WCO as Zelmira's husband Ilo, and celebrated Spanish mezzo-soprano Silvia Tro Santafé will make her company debut in the title role. "

I will be performing the bass solos in “Wachet Auf! Ruft uns die Stimme” by the great Baroque composer Dieterich Buxtehude. As part of the Bach+ Cantata Vespers series presented by Live Arts Maryland, we’ll be performing at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis. It’s the church on the traffic circle. This will be my second time having sung this piece at St. Anne’s, and it’s a joy to come back to. Admission is free!

Sapho centers around intense, competing love affairs - developing within the context of the ancient Greek Olympics - all while the tantalizing possibility of a political coup bubbles just beneath the surface."

I will be performing the bass solos in excerpts from from J.S. Bach’s Cantata 20, “O Ewigkeit, du Donnerwort”. As part of the Bach+ Cantata Vespers series presented by Live Arts Maryland, we’ll be performing at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Annapolis. It’s the church on the traffic circle. I’m excited to tackle more of the Bach cantata repertoire, and I always enjoy performing as part of this series in this venue. Admission is free!

It will be my great honor to serve as Master of Ceremonies for this year's Charm City Strongwoman Contest, raising money for the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. Full disclosure: I will be cheering on my wife.
